i was really hoping he would!
so i totally stumbled on this late, but I gotta throw in my 2 cents. I voted for favre to play, but under certain circumstances. I think the wavering, flaky way that he retired, then went to play for the jets, then retired again only because the vikings wouldn't take him, only to come back out of retirement to play for the vikings after-all is akin to the sh*tty kid on the middle school playground that refused to play unless you played with his rules. I think that if things started to not go favre's way, he would have taken his ball and gone home. That being said, I really hope he plays this season. I hope he plays against a team that is unforgiving on the offensive line. I hope he tries that "wildcat offense" again. I hope he goes in for the chop-block again and gets creamed. That way, he'll learn that being a big brat doesn't cut it in the adult world. Sorry to vent, but he's a child.![]()
Respect and Honor.
The question is not how far. The question is, do you possess the constitution, the depth of faith, to go as far is as needed?

Yea I wish bret would have done things differently. I like seeing him play but the fact he avoided all the hard work during the pre season then gets to step in and start for Minnesota is bs I'm sure its pisses off the other qbs who put in the hard work all preseason long just to sit the bench.
