Default TheStoic's T-Alpha Log Sponsored by Anabolic Addiction

    Supplement Facts
    Serving Size: 2 Capsules
    Proprietary Blend 1560mg
Epimedium Sagittatum, Maca, Tongkat Ali, Saw Palmetto, Macuna Pruriens (L-Dopa), Arginine (L-Arginine HCL), Panax Ginseng, Muira Puama, Polypodium Vulgare

2 capsules 1 hour before physical activity. Do not exceed 2 capsules daily.

I plan on running this both with and without stimulants. I've been stim-free for a couple weeks and will go one or two more, then on lifting days I'll start adding in some HT-8.

Big thanks to kpettit and Anabolic Addiction for giving me the opportunity to log their new pre-workout. I've been impressed with AA's products across the board so I'm looking forward to giving this a run.

    Dose 1

Unfortunately I lost track of time after I took my dose so I don't know how much time elapsed between dosing and my workout. I'll do a better job tomorrow. Didn't feel a whole lot, but there was a bit of energy. Not stimulant-type obviously, but more like I was ready to go out and hit the weights hard. Based on the ingredients I would expect this to take a bit to build up and get me going. Plus, my son has decided he doesn't want to stay in bed at nights anymore so sleep quality is way down. Just the fact that I was fired up as I was to lift is good news. I'm happy with the first day's results.

    Arms/Shoulders
    BB Curl - Increase
(3 sets, pyramided weights, 10-8-6 reps, last set to failure)

    Close Grip Bench - Increase
(3 sets, pyramided weights, 10-8-6 reps, last set to failure)

    Incline DB Curl - Increase
    superset with
    DB Extensions - Increase
(3 sets, pyramided weights, 10-8-6 reps, last set to failure)

    Crossbody Hammer Curl - Increase
    superset with
    Tricep Pushdowns - Increase
(3x12, straight sets, stop 1-2 reps short of failure)

Double Side Laterals - No Change
    superset with
Bent over Double Side Laterals - No Change
(3 sets, pyramided weights, 10-8-6 reps, last set to failure)

I'm experimenting with a brand new routine so I'm still finding the right weights. On the bright side, I'm not too far off; I won't have to increase the weights all that much. May still play around with the exercises too. I was concerned about how long I was going to be out there, but it didn't take as long as I thought so I may add in BB Push Press. I don't know that I'm happy with just the isolation stuff for shoulders.

    Dose 2

Half an hour between dosing and workout and it worked well. "Aggression" isn't quite the right term, but I was fired up again. I ripped the knob off my adjustable bench while moving it so that's probably a good sign. :-)

    Legs
    Back Squat - Increase
(3x5, straight sets, last set to failure)

    RDL- No Change
(3x5, straight sets, last set to failure)

Standing BB Calf Raise - Increase
(3x5, straight sets, last set to failure)

    BB Shrug- No Change
(3 sets, pyramided weights, 10-8-6 reps, last set to failure)

Had a cup of coffee so it wasn't really stim-free today. Still early, but liking it so far.

    Dose 3

Planned on cardio, but didn't get to it. Too tired. I even went out for a nap in my truck at work. Darn kids are keeping me up at night and recovery is suffering. First thing to go when that happens is always cardio.

Didn't make the final decision to bail until I got home though and I took a dose at 4. Actually worked out well because I got to just be mellow and see what happened rather than having my music going and getting psyched for a workout. Started feeling it around 20 minutes. Heartrate increased and started feeling warm. Felt ready to go, but knew I'd rather rest for lifting tomorrow. Nice that it seemed to be in line with what I was feeling the other days as well.

On an odd note, my nose had started running in the afternoon, but it stopped after I took the T-Alpha. Weird.

    Dose 4

Felt it at 20 minutes again. Got a call from work (I've gotta change my phone #) so I didn't get to workout until an hour later, but I could still feel it. Same kind of effects: elevated heart/breathing rate, got kind of flushed. Took it with some First Order and I could really feel the BA tingles flush through me more. I like it. Feels more like an andrenaline rush than a jittery energy. Still think the effects build with time so I'm looking forward to it. Can't say I've noticed any libido effects yet.

    Chest
Incline BB Press - No Change
(3x5, straight sets, last set to failure)

    Flat DB Press- Increase
(3 sets, pyramided weights, 10-8-6 reps, last set to failure)

    Incline Flye - Decrease
    superset with
    Seated Machine Press - Decrease
(4x12, straight sets, stop 1-2 reps short of failure)

My "exhaustion" seems to have turned into a head cold. I feel crappy, but didn't want to miss a day of lifting. I was weak as a kitten...and not a big kitten. A tiny one, who's eyes aren't even open yet. But hey, I got it done. Not sure I'll actually go with a decrease on the supersets next week considering how bad I felt. I may try again at this weight.

And again, my nose cleared up after taking the T-Alpha. No kidding. I wish that side lasted longer than 2 hrs.

Hit in 20 minutes as usual with the same effects. I feel less cold-like today, so that's good. I guess I beat it into submission. Very tired though so I'm skipping cardio again in order to rest up for Back day tomorrow. I took the T-Alpha anyway so I could stay consistent since on a normal week I'd be taking it today. Plus I think ingredients like the Tongkat Ali do better with continued use. I seem to be a slow responder to libido boosting effects so I want to stick with it. Even on straight t-boosters it takes me 2-3 weeks to feel much in that department. Once it hits, look out, but I'm a late bloomer.

Looking forward to adding HT-8 to the mix. I may go ahead and do it next week. We'll see.

Same effects at the same time frame. Ratcheted up my road rage on the way home. Everyone was driving incredibly slow. I swear that was my longest commute not caused by an accident ever

    Back
    Deadlift- Increase
(3x5, straight sets, last set to failure)

    Yates Row - No Change
(3 sets, pyramided weights, 10-8-6 reps, last set to failure)

    T-Bar Row - No Change
    superset with
Wide Grip Pulldowns - No Change
(4x12, straight sets, stop 1-2 reps short of failure)

Not sure what's going on with this cold. Thought I was better, but now I have a sore throat. Had to take a nap again during the day. Whatever, I'm done talking about it. No excuses, I'm still lifting. Workout was better than last time, but not great; although I rocked the deadlifts. Put up 10 reps on the last set when it should have been 5. That makes the lackluster performance the rest of time a little easier to handle.

    Dose 7 (pending)

Scheduled off night tonight. Already had a couple off nights, this week, but this one was really supposed to be so I don't feel so guilty. Will be trying the T-Alpha "1 hour prior to physical activity" later. That is all.

    Dose 8

Ditched the non-stim idea and took an HT-8 along with the T-Alpha today. The kick kind of snuck up on me since I took it, then went out and helped plant some roses with the wife and kids. Got in the weight room feeling kinda indifferent, but once I started warming up the aggression kicked in.

    Arms/Shoulders
Hang Clean & Press - Increase
(3x5, straight sets, last set to failure)

    Double Side Laterals - Increase
    superset with
Bent over Double Side Laterals - Increase
(3x12, straight sets, stop 1-2 reps short of failure)

    BB Curl - Increase
(3 sets, pyramided weights, 10-8-6 reps, last set to failure)

    Close Grip Bench - Increase
(3 sets, pyramided weights, 10-8-6 reps, last set to failure)

Incline DB Curl - No Change
    superset with
    DB Extensions - No Change
(3 sets, pyramided weights, 10-8-6 reps, last set to failure)

Crossbody Hammer Curl - No Change
    superset with
    Tricep Pushdowns - Increase
(3x12, straight sets, stop 1-2 reps short of failure)

Switched up the workout a bit since I wasn't happy with just a little isolation work for the delts. Switched shoulders to first and put in the hang clean & press with a power rep scheme. I like this set up much better. And don't look now, but someone's getting their strength back after a crummy week.

    Forgot to post this yesterday...

    Dose 9

Took HT-8 at the same time again.

    Legs
    Front Squat - Increase
(5x12, straight sets, stop 1-2 reps short of failure)

Lying Leg Curl - No Change
(5x12, straight sets, stop 1-2 reps short of failure)

    Seated Calf Raise - Increase
(5x12, straight sets, stop 1-2 reps short of failure)

    BB Shrug- Increase
(4x12, straight sets, stop 1-2 reps short of failure)

Aggression is way up. Rough trip to the store with the kids this morning so that added to it I'm sure. I was ready to hit the weights hard and I did.
