    Close Grip Bench - Increase

Happy with the workout overall. Tweaked my elbow a bit on close grip bench so the rest of the triceps exercises suffered. Didn't want to make it worse so I backed off a bit on the subsequent sets. Nothing serious, just uncomfortable. Will continue to ice/heat and I don't see it affecting anything later in the week.

    Dose 30

    T-Alpha + HT-8.

    Legs
    Front Squat - No Change
(5x12, straight sets, stop 1-2 reps short of failure)

Lying Leg Curl - No Change
(5x12, straight sets, stop 1-2 reps short of failure)

    Seated Calf Raise - Increase
(5x12, straight sets, stop 1-2 reps short of failure)

    BB Shrug- Increase
(4x12, straight sets, stop 1-2 reps short of failure)

Lots to do today so I got up early to workout. That sucked. Took more than my usual warmups and my knee was still not happy and that shows in the numbers. Oh well, this isn't a regular occurrence so no big deal. Final review to follow.

    FINAL REVIEW

First off I’d like to again thank kpettit and Anabolic Addiction for giving me the opportunity to run T-Alpha.

At first I was skeptical based on the formula, seemed more like a peter pill than a pre-workout, but AA hasn’t let me down so far so I took the plunge. It turned out to be an interesting little supp.

    Pros
    - Non-stim. There aren’t a whole lot of these out there. I like the fact that you can add stims on your own at a level you’re comfortable with. Helps that AA has a good stim product of their own too (HT-8). And if you’re using it for a little late night romance it’s nice to be able to get some sleep after.
    - Energy. Seems odd to list this after writing a non-stim category, but there was an energized feeling I got about 20 minutes after taking T-Alpha. I wrote about it as an “adrenaline rush” and being “fired up”. Heart rate increased, breathing got shallower, etc.
    - Aggression. As I got further into the bottle I got more and more angry. I was ready to tear up the gym. I had fairly steady increases in my lifts throughout and I think this helped.
    - Libido. I think the ‘T’ in T-Alpha stands for ‘Tentpole’. Took me awhile to respond (as expected), but once I did there was a definite increase in libido. Not surprising considering the ingredients.
    - Flexibility. How many other pre-workout products can you take before the lovin’ starts?

    Cons
    - Strange formula for a pre-workout. (This isn’t a knock on the results, but more an overall marketing type comment.) Just as I was skeptical, I think others might be too. I think non-stim pre-workouts are a hard sell anyway and this one is anything but typical. It could seem like a ‘luxury supp’ in that it doesn’t have some of the staples like beta alanine, creatine, etc.
    - Aggression. I know, I know, I also listed this as a ‘Pro’, but for me personally, toward the end of the run I was pissed off a lot. The effects started to bleed over into everyday life rather than staying in the gym. I felt like I was at the end of a cycle and that wasn’t something I was totally comfortable with. This could likely mean a boost in test which is a good thing, but I’m not sure I’m ready for my pre-workout to be giving me a short fuse with the kids.

    Bottom Line: Would I recommend/buy T-Alpha?
    - Yes, I would recommend. No, I wouldn’t buy again. This is a solid product, it really is, but I just got too angry on it. I’m a laid back person and it bothers me to feel so wound up all the time. I’m glad I got the chance to try this, but I wouldn’t buy it again for myself. Having said that, there are clearly people intrigued by the aggression aspect and to those people I say “Go for it.” Based on the ingredients and how I felt t-boosterish (that’s a word, look it up) I think this would make a good pre-workout supplement during PCT. Another solid offering by AA, it just doesn’t fit my personal preferences.

Thanks to everyone who followed along and once more to the folks at Anabolic Addiction.

We lift weights and manipulate our diets so that we'll look good naked. Sure, it's healthy too, and we'll probably live a longer and more productive life than the average guy, but mostly it's about the naked thing.
